This Project was a collaborative effort that gave people who live in the Soppo Likoko Village access to much needed health care services. There was a river that disconnected villagers from a nearby health care facility and the goal of the project was to have a bridge built that allowed people and small vehicles to cross safely. The project was undertaken by our sister group The Cream City (WI) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, the Engineers Without Borders Chapter of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Global Health Dialogue in Buea, Cameroon, as well as other local, national and international stakeholders. Through ticket sales and contributions, MAWA donated $1,000 towards this project.
